Majia is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Mahjia, Majhia or Māhjia, and each spelling points to the same home. In a straight line, Islamabad airport is about 19 km away, Rawalpindi about 38 km, Dhudial about 64 km and Chakwal city about 65 km.
Majia sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut grown across the area. The Salt Range rises to the south. As in many families across this region, some households here have members serving in the army or working abroad.
