Mirzabad, also spelt Mirzapur or Mirzāpur, is a village in District Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravined ground, with the Salt Range to its south.
The land here is rain-fed, and farming centres on wheat and groundnut. Across the plateau, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
Within about 30 to 34 km are the Malot temple, Dandot in the Salt Range, Choa Saidan Shah and the Katas Raj temples. The village's own history, and the memories of its people, are still to be told by those who know them best.
