This is Rachianwala.
Rachianwala is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south.
The village is well placed. Kallar Kahar lake and the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway are each about 5 km away, Chakwal city is 27 km off, and the Katas Raj temples are 28 km away.
Like many families across this area, households in and around Rachianwala have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of the village, told in the words of its own people, is still to be written by those who live here and by those who carry it overseas.

Written from the district record. Rachianwala's own story, its families, its elders, its ground, is still to be told. The village captain or team can add it from their phone.
