Shoral Dhok is a village in District Chakwal, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range rising to the south. In a straight line, the village is about 40 km from Talagang, 65 km from Lawa, and 68 km from both Chakwal city and the Kallar Kahar lake.
Across the Potohar plateau, families have long farmed wheat and groundnut on rain-fed land, and many households have members serving in the army or working abroad. Those who live here and those who have gone away share the same land and the same roots.
