Sohutara, also spelt Sahotra, is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines and rain-fed fields, with the Salt Range to the south. Across this plateau, wheat and groundnut are farmed, and many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
