Kuchal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies about 24 km from Talagang and 27 km from Lawa, and about 44 km in a straight line from the Kallar Kahar lake and from the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway.
The land around it is part of the Potohar plateau, a dry country cut by ravines, with the Salt Range to the south. Farming there depends on rain, with wheat and groundnut among the crops. Across this area, many families have members serving in the army or working abroad.
