Dhok Datta, also spelt Datewali, is a dhok, a farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. Both spellings name this same small community of farming homes.
The hamlet lies on the Potohar plateau, a dry land of ravines with the Salt Range rising to the south. Farming here is rain-fed, and wheat and groundnut are the crops of the plateau.
Talagang is about 22 km away, Lawa 29 km, the M2 motorway at the Kallar Kahar interchange 42 km, and Kallar Kahar lake 43 km by straight line. As in many households across the Potohar plateau, families here have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Datta is still to be told by the people who live here and the families who carry it with them.
