This is Dallowal.
Dallowal is a village in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It is also spelt Daulowal or Daulowāl. Like much of this part of the country, it sits on the Potohar plateau, a land of dry ravines where farming depends on the rain, with the Salt Range rising to the south.
The village lies within easy reach of several well-known places. Dandot in the Salt Range is about 42 km away in a straight line, the Malot temple about 43 km, Choa Saidan Shah about 45 km, and the Katas Raj temples about 48 km.
The full story of Dallowal, its fields and its families is still to be told by the people who live here and by those who have gone abroad. Share your memories below and help us write it together.
