This is Dhok Mittha.
Dhok Mittha is a dhok, a small farmstead hamlet in District Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. It sits on the Potohar plateau, where the land is dry and cut by ravines, and where the Salt Range rises to the south.
The village is about 15 km in a straight line from Kallar Kahar lake and from the Kallar Kahar interchange on the M2 motorway. Talagang is about 16 km away and Chakwal city about 27 km.
Life across this plateau has long been shaped by rain-fed farming and by many families who have members serving in the army or working abroad. The full story of Dhok Mittha, its people and its days, is still to be told, and this page is an invitation for its own people to tell it.
